Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Redondo Beach, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting tools. Responsibilities: - Process invoices accurately and ensure timely payment through established systems. - Maintain and update accounts payable and accounts receivable records. - Perform precise data entry tasks to support financial operations. - Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial transactions. - Monitor and reconcile discrepancies in financial records. - Generate reports and summaries of financial activities using Excel formulas. - Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards. - Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements. - Support the resolution of payment and billing inquiries. - Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements - Proficiency in data entry with a strong attention to detail. - Experience or familiarity with invoice processing. - Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Competence in using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data manipulation. - Understanding of QuickBooks or similar accounting software. - Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
