Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This position plays a vital role in managing vendor payments and maintaining accurate financial records within the retail industry. Responsibilities: - Process vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. - Prepare and distribute accounts payable checks in a timely manner. - Maintain and update accounts payable records, including daily posting of open items. - Generate and organize reports related to accounts payable, keeping both paper and electronic files well-maintained. - Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and analyze account discrepancies. - Respond promptly to vendor inquiries, providing clear and accurate information. - Sort and distribute customer statements for accounts receivable on a monthly basis. - Utilize electronic document scanning tools to ensure proper recordkeeping and accessibility. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs. - Strong skills in invoice processing and reconciliation of vendor statements. - Familiarity with electronic document scanning systems. - Ability to analyze vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication abilities for handling vendor inquiries. - Proficiency in maintaining both paper and electronic financial records. - Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
