**About the Role** Uber's Data Infrastructure and Strategy (DI&S) team, part of the customer support branch known as Community Operation, is dedicated to ensuring that customer support data is readily available for self-service through diverse data products. We're looking for a curious and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in support of the development of analytics infrastructure for autonomous vehicle customer support. In this role, you'll help shape how we understand and improve the customer support experience in a world where vehicles drive themselves. You'll drive the development of our reporting and analytics data infrastructure to monitor support interactions, service performance, and issue trends across the AV customer support journey. You'll work closely with analysts, engineers, product managers, and support operations teams to ensure we have the right insights to drive industry leading customer support for AV riders and eaters. Most importantly, you'll contribute to the way people experience a new era of transportation. **What You'll Do** + Partner with stakeholders across customer support, engineering, and product teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear data and reporting requirements + Lead discovery efforts to identify gaps in current analytics, data coverage, and reporting workflows + Document business and data requirements for new reports, dashboards, and analytics tools + Perform source-to-target data mapping to design the new data models and data pipelines + Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of new data products to ensure they meet business needs and data quality standards + Assist in maintaining documentation around data sources, metric definitions, and data lineage to support long-term scalability + Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and analytics infrastructure for customer support in the autonomous vehicle space + Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and deliverables **Basic Qualifications** + 2+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role (internships, academic projects, or bootcamps welcome) + 2+ years of hands on experience with querying languages like SQL and comfort working with structured and unstructured datasets **Preferred Qualifications** + Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex processes and translate business needs into clear requirements + Strong communication and documentation skills - able to clearly articulate findings, requirements, and data flows to both technical and non-technical audiences + Detail-oriented with experience or interest in discovery work, process mapping, and source-to-target data mapping + Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on deliverables in a fast-paced environment + A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn - especially in a rapidly evolving field like autonomous vehicles and customer support + Exposure to tools like Looker, Tableau, or Excel is a plus + Well versed in autonomous vehicle (AV) technology and real-life use cases in transportation and delivery industry + Bonus: interest in user experience, customer support operations, or transportation technology For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$113,000 per year - USD$125,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$113,000 per year - USD$125,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
