STARR Restaurants, a nationally recognized restaurant group known for its award-winning concepts and industry leadership, is expanding its presence in Nashville. We are seeking an experienced Director of Restaurants to lead operations across our growing portfolio in the market.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a strong background in multi-unit leadership, a passion for team development, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will help shape the future of STARR in one of the most exciting food cities in the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strong financial performance by ensuring all restaurants exceed budgeted sales and profit goals
• Collaborate with our leadership teams on systems, procedures, and ongoing operational improvements
• Lead restaurant teams in growing guest count, loyalty, and team culture
• Partner with General Managers and Executive Chefs to create market-specific strategies and coordinate with the events team
• Develop strategic staffing plans to support both short-term needs and long-term growth
• Ensure consistent and thorough training systems are in place for all hourly and management staff
• Oversee annual performance reviews and employee development across all restaurants
• Maintain compliance with documentation, safety, and labor standards
• Identify growth opportunities and create development plans for management team members
• Work with restaurant leadership to build, review, and manage annual budgets
• Analyze P&L statements and operational trends to guide decisions and improvements
• Uphold high standards for cleanliness, food safety, service, and facility upkeep
• Conduct regular quality checks and work closely with Chefs on product handling and consistency
• Manage capital expense budgets and ensure proper maintenance of all locations
• Anticipate and proactively resolve operational challenges in alignment with guest and company expectations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in restaurant or food and beverage operations
• At least 3 years managing upscale or chef-driven dining concepts
• Proven experience overseeing multiple restaurants with a combined annual revenue of $20 million or more
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including scheduling, payroll, cost control, and facilities
• Excellent decision-making skills and attention to detail
