As our Engineer Intern, you will support the Engineering department in identifying and implementing manufacturing solutions to increase productivity, add project flexibility, reduce cycle times, and reduce cost. The incumbent facilitates and participates in a variety of engineering projects of a broad or specific nature under the guidance of senior-level manufacturing and/or continuous improvement engineers. Some of these projects will involve the creation of work checklists, process documentation, time studies, etc.

YOU HAVE:

• Education: Currently enrolled in a 4-Year Degree Program for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: Manufacturing or production experience a plus. Autonomous vehicles or collaborative equipment experience a plus.
• Communication: Good communication and presentation skills.
• Technical skills: Excellent skills in MS Office Suite, specially in Excel. Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and TQM methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Self-Driven & the ability to work as part of a team to solve problems, using appropriate methods and channels in a timely manner.
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills in student organizations, student projects, team sports, etc.
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand and walk constantly while working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred skills: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, or similar. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.2.
