Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators, and a strong understanding of construction site protocols. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various types of machinery safely and efficiently. Candidate must have a commercial drivers license and will be required to drive and operate dump trucks, hydro-excavation semi truck, and other various heavy-load vehicle set ups.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as hydro-excavator, loaders, backhoes, dump truck, pump truck, and water trucks on construction sites.
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to execute project plans effectively.
Conduct hydro excavation on various sites including emergency call outs.
Safely transport materials using dump trucks and tankers.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
Assist in the training of new operators as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy construction equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Previous experience on construction sites is preferred.
Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is mandatory.
Familiarity with heavy machinery is advantageous.
Ability to operate additional machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
