Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team, providing essential accounting support for various projects within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries. Responsibilities: - Manage project accounting tasks, including budgeting, performance analysis, and labor expense tracking. - Serve as a liaison between design teams and clients to ensure seamless financial communication. - Oversee client billing processes and ensure timely invoicing and payment tracking. - Coordinate consultant fee management and monitor financial performance on assigned projects. - Analyze construction budgets ranging from $30M to $2B to ensure adherence to financial goals. - Utilize Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint software for effective project accounting and reporting. - Collaborate with teams to optimize financial processes and establish best practices. - Prepare detailed financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making. - Address and resolve accounting discrepancies to maintain project integrity. - Maintain accurate and organized financial records for all assigned projects. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. - Proven experience in project accounting within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries. - Proficiency in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint accounting software is preferred. - Comprehensive understanding of project accounting, including budgeting, billing, and expense tracking. - Experience managing construction budgets ranging from $30M to $2B. - Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Self-motivated individual who thrives in collaborative team environments.
