Burke & Company, LLC dba S.P. McCarl & Company is a well-established mechanical contractor that is dedicated to delivering high-quality construction projects that meet the needs of our clients. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to join our team in our Altoona office.

The Purchasing Associate will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing manager and interacting with all departments to ensure a smooth process for purchasing including accurate collection, coding, approval, and recording of purchase orders. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within the construction industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Entering all purchase orders into ERP system.
• Developing and maintaining purchase order file system.
• Vendor follow-up for order status.
• Assist with shop, van, warehouse, and refrigerant inventory.
• Work with estimating department to obtain quotes.
• Purchase office supplies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in an office environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong computer skills.
• Accounting aptitude.
