ABOUT US:
Caring Transitions of West Jacksonville specializes in relocation, downsizing, and estate liquidations, helping seniors and families transition to new living situations with compassion and care. We’re currently seeking enthusiastic, dependable part-time team members to support our services in the West Jacksonville area.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS POSITION:

As a Relocation & Downsizing Team Member, you’ll be part of a team that helps clients:

• Downsize and relocate, often into senior living communities.
• Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in new homes.
• Sort household items for donation, resale, recycling, or disposal.
• Photograph and catalog items using hand-held devices.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness throughout project sites.

This role involves hands-on work, including:

• Standing for long periods, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting items (up to 25 lbs).
• Carrying supplies and boxes within homes and to/from vehicles.

Note: We are not movers. Heavy lifting of furniture is performed by professional movers.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

We’re looking for individuals who:

• Are compassionate, respectful, and sensitive to the needs of older adults.
• Enjoy working in diverse environments—every home and client is different.
• Thrive in fast-paced, changing conditions and can work independently or on a team.
• Are detail-oriented, punctual, and take pride in delivering excellent service.
• Comfortable with a part-time, flexible schedule (no guarantee of hours/week)

REQUIREMENTS

• Age 18+ with a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation and smartphone access for scheduling and timekeeping.
• Willingness to work in homes that may be cluttered or dusty (gloves, aprons, and PPE provided).
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Typical schedule: 10–25 hours/week depending on project load.

COMPENSATION

• $16 per hour, depending on experience and role responsibilities.
• Opportunities for wage increases and advancement to Team Lead roles.
• Flexible, part-time scheduling—ideal for retirees, caregivers, and individuals balancing other commitments.
