Job Description
About the Role Wellbeing contractors play an integral role in developing and maintaining a world-class wellness and fitness program at Blake Street House. Our instructors are responsible for motivating, teaching and nurturing members in various areas of health and fitness. Contractors represent multiple disciplines including yoga, meditation and mindfulness, etc. The Yoga Instructor will need to be available to teaching the following classes during their scheduled times:
Wednesdays / 7:15 pm to 8:05 pm / Slow Flow Yoga Class
Thursdays / 7:15 pm to 8:05 pm / Slow Flow Yoga Class
Sundays / 5:15 pm to 6:05 pm / Slow Flow Yoga Class
Contract Pay: $45 per class
What You Will Do
Possess a compassionate teaching style, utilize a supportive, non-competitive approach to help clients meet their goals
Individualize training plans and routines to meet client needs
Possess thorough understanding and be able to clearly articulate fitness methods, wellbeing services and class content
Execute safe and effective fitness and/or wellbeing services
Accurately track participation statistics and produce corresponding invoicing; report client activities to Wellbeing manager weekly
Schedule all classes using the scheduling software
Maintain system accuracy through continual updating to avoid overbooking or conflicts
Be on time for all scheduled sessions
Maintain client profiles and preferences
Ensure wellness/fitness areas are well maintained and supplied, notifying management when necessary
What You Need to Get the Job Done (Qualifications)
At least 200 hours teaching and/or education in respective discipline.
First Aid, AED & CPR Training
Must possess all required insurance coverages
