Psychology

The Program provides the psychology students with theoretical foundation and practical knowledge in the areas of organizational psychology, vocational and counselling psychology, clinical psychology, as well as the upcoming fields such as positive psychology, health psychology and environmental psychology.

The degree will be a mix of pure and theoretical psychology as well as practical and applied psychology. Along with in depth knowledge of Psychology, the students are also made well versed with the flair for writing a case study, Training in communication skills, Research and paper writing are a part of course module, Exposure to counselling techniques is provided through workshops and seminars. The Department of Humanities aspires to infuse passion in students to learn and relearn knowledge, values, skills and empathy towards society. Since, the Humanities subjects are the foundation subjects for all the branches of Bachelor of Arts, Department of Humanities imparts to build a firm base as part of the UG & PG Courses.

The Department enhances knowledge in disciplines like Psychology, Economics, English Literature, History, Political Science and Sociology. On one hand it develops the nitty gritty of these domains and on the other hand it makes students ready for shaping their careers in Civil Services and Private Sector.
