The Department of Humanities at Acropolis Institute of Management Studies & Research, Indore, is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, creativity and a deep understanding of human society. Our programs emphasize literature, psychology, economics, history, sociology, political science, journalism and mass communication, ensuring students develop analytical and expressive skills essential for diverse professional fields. Our Language Lab enhances linguistic proficiency, refining verbal and written communication through interactive learning tools. The Psychology Lab provides hands-on experience in understanding human behaviour, cognitive processes and psychological assessments, preparing students for roles in counselling, research and human resource management. Through expert-led counselling sessions in Acro care we focus on mental well-being, career planning and personal development, ensuring students build resilience and confidence for their future endeavours.

With a dedicated Placement Cell, we facilitate top recruitment opportunities, preparing students to excel in professional fields such as education, media, public policy and cultural organizations. Psychology Lab

The Psychology Lab serves as a vital space for students to practically engage with the theories they study. Equipped with psychological tools and testing instruments, it allows students to conduct experiments, administer psychological tests and gain hands-on experience in understanding human behaviour. From personality assessments to cognitive evaluations, the lab bridges the gap between theory and practice, nurturing research skills and analytical thinking among budding psychologists.

Language Lab

Our English Language Lab is a dynamic platform for enhancing language proficiency. With the help of audio-visual tools, language software and interactive modules, students develop their listening, speaking, pronunciation and communication skills in an engaging environment. The lab encourages fluency, confidence and correct usage of language, especially beneficial for students preparing for competitive exams, public speaking and interviews. It is a space where the art of language is not just learned but lived.

A High Court Visit

The visit was to help the student understand the role of the court in dispensing justice in every case, the role of prosecution in a case; the way cases proceed in a court; and the way judges, prosecutors and defence lawyers handle the case.

Dr Mohitash Nagotra has made significant contributions to academia, with over 14 research papers published in prestigious Scopus-indexed and UGC CARE-listed journals. His dedication to mentorship is evident in his guidance of more than 200 student research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Additionally, he has secured two patents, Risk Monitoring in Mergers and Acquisitions (2022) and Financial Stability Process Using SWOT Analysis (2023), showcasing his innovative approach to financial and strategic analysis. His recent publication, Comprehensive Studies on Consumer Behaviour (2024), further underscores his expertise in market research and consumer dynamics.

Dr Shraddha Tiwari

Dr Shraddha Tiwari has established herself as a distinguished academic and professional leader, with eight research papers to her credit. She was honoured as a keynote speaker at the MGM National Symposium, showcasing her expertise and thought leadership. Beyond academia, she holds the position of CEO at Acro Care and serves as a dedicated life coach affiliated with the prestigious International Coaching Federation, empowering individuals to achieve personal and professional growth.

Ms. Sanchita Jhalani has actively contributed to academic research by presenting two papers and publishing her work in a National Publication. Her engagement in knowledge exchange is further demonstrated by her participation in three conferences, showcasing her dedication to professional and scholarly development. 

Dr Klinsa Kurien

Dr Klinsa Kurien actively enhanced her academic and professional expertise by attending three Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and presenting three research papers. Demonstrating her literary talent, she achieved an impressive 31st position among 1,000 poets in a National Poetry Writing Competition. Additionally, she contributed to scholarly work by publishing two book chapters, further solidifying her intellectual and creative contributions.

Aaditya was invited to a TEDx event hosted by Choithram School Indore on 31st January 2026. The title of his talk was ‘Mankind’s Journey From Noesis To Notifications’, wherein he spoke about how technology is shaping our thought processes and affecting our metacognition in this digital age, and necessary it is to reclaim the noetic thinking and creativity which used to be the backbone of ancient civilizations.
